Naja Productions' documentary Metal of Honor - The Ironworkers of 9/11 Announces Digital Release for the 25th Anniversary of the September 11 Attacks

As the nation marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Naja Productions announces the streaming debut of Metal of Honor: The Ironworkers of 9/11, a powerful documentary chronicling the extraordinary story of the courageous New York City ironworkers who risked their lives in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center. Metal of Honor will be available on YouTube TV and Apple TV platforms beginning Friday, August 14, 2026.

Originally released in 2006 on MTVN's SpikeTV, Naja Productions' president and founder Rachel Maguire produced and directed Metal of Honor, gaining exclusive access to the Structural Ironworkers of New York City Local Union 40. The 75-minute documentary takes viewers behind police lines to witness Ground Zero through the eyes of the structural ironworkers who toiled with relentless dedication at the site. Twenty-five years later, the impact of their service is still felt.

Metal of Honor is being reissued with several technical refinements, as well as newly-added updates on the main characters. Many have suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, respiratory illness and other long-term effects connected to their work at Ground Zero.

Metal of Honor: The Ironworkers of 9/11 is a timeless celebration of men who never sought attention for their sacrifices, who remain proud of their contribution and of the brotherhood that carried them through one of the darkest chapters in American history.

The documentary features an original score composed by Emmy Award-winning Michael Bacon of the folk-rock band The Bacon Brothers. Metal of Honor was shot 16x9, 24p on a Panasonic SDX900A by Director of Photography Gregory Andracke.
